Middle-school students help create Hilliard mural

“The whole thing was such a collaborative project. I had never worked with kids before and there were all these little eyes on me and I thought I had to be perfect, but after a while, I realized they were just cool kids. … I saw this amazing progression of how they saw art and how they started thinking about public art. Why don’t we have more of it? And why public art is so important and such a great bridge to conversations.”
